Fun trip, easy booking

So, I decided to finally do a trip to Japan and found Affordable World. I got the Tokyo and Kyoto city stay package. Booking it online was super easy, just a few clicks. The price was pretty good too, especially since it included some flights. When I got there, everything went smoothly. The hotels were nice, nothing too fancy, but clean and in good spots. Our local guide in Tokyo was awesome, knew all the cool places. The whole thing just felt really chill and fun, exactly what I wanted for a vacation. No stress, you know?

Consistent and reliable

This was my third time booking with Affordable World, and they've been consistently good. This time we did the Vietnam and Cambodia trip. Just like with my previous China and Thailand tours, everything was well-organized. The guides were great, very informative, and kept things moving smoothly. The hotels were as expected for the price point, and the flights were included, which is always a big plus for me. Their customer service team also answered a few questions I had before booking pretty quickly. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and they deliver.

Good value, minor hiccups

I booked the Italy tour package for me and my sister last spring. The price was really competitive compared to other operators, and the hotels chosen were generally comfortable, though some were a bit out of the city center, which meant more commuting time. The included meals were okay, nothing fancy, but kept us fed. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The only real issue was a miscommunication about our airport transfer on arrival; we waited about 45 minutes before someone showed up. Overall, a solid 4-star experience for the price.

Solid Egypt tour

Booked the Egypt and Nile cruise. Flights and hotels were fine. The cruise was good. Guides were knowledgeable. No issues with transfers. Delivered what was promised. Decent value for the money.

Can I use multiple discounts on one booking? Like if I have a referral credit and there's a seasonal sale?

O Olivia Harris 1 month ago
Nah, I don't think you can stack them. Most travel companies only let you use one offer at a time.

From what I understand, they usually don't allow stacking. It's usually either the sale price or a specific code/credit, not both. Best to pick the bigger discount.

Trying to pick between Affordable World and Gate 1 Travel for a multi-country Asia trip. Anyone have experience with both or can compare them?

A Amanda Mitchell 2 weeks ago
I've only done Affordable World, but from what I hear, AW is often a bit more budget-focused. Gate 1 might have slightly nicer hotels or more inclusions sometimes, but you pay for it. AW is great value.

Affordable World tends to be a bit more basic but still good. Gate 1 can be a step up in terms of hotel quality, but their prices usually reflect that. Depends on your budget and what you prioritize.

Hey, I'm looking at their Japan tours, specifically the cherry blossom ones. Do those typically include international flights or do I have to book that separately?

B Ben 1 week ago
From what I remember when I booked my China trip with them last year, most of their main packages usually bundle the airfare. I think it even says 'air-inclusive' on a lot of the listings.

Yeah, I just checked for a Europe trip, and the prices shown often include flights. You'd want to double check the specific tour details for Japan though, just to be sure it's not a land-only package.

I'm eyeing a Europe trip for next spring. Any idea if they do early bird discounts? Or should I just wait for something like Black Friday?

I Ian 1 week ago
They definitely do early bird stuff. I got a discount for booking my Vietnam trip like 6 months out. It's usually a set amount off per person.

I've seen early bird and seasonal sales more often than random coupon codes. Black Friday also has deals, but if you know your dates, early bird is usually a safe bet for some savings.

How much deposit do they need for an Egypt tour? Just trying to plan my budget.

L Leah 1 week ago
I think it's usually a couple hundred bucks per person. It's not a huge amount upfront, but you'd have to check the exact tour page.

For my Peru trip, it was like $300 per person. Fairly standard for tour companies, not too bad.
